The theatre was packed with fans, young and old, when Barney Bentall came out onto the stage to open the night. After a 5 year hiatus, Barney, a Juno Award winner, sang some songs from his new album The Drifter and The Preacher, his 10th studio album and a few of his older popular songs. It was great to see local musician Kirby Barber playing along as well as Barney’s son, Dustin, who came out and sang along with him.

A huge applause came from the crowd when Jim Cuddy started to play. He explained that although this tour was about his new album, an 11 track album, he would only by playing half of it, well half plus one. The title song, “Constellation”. A song written about his close friend who was dying and how to move on without him. A very emotional and beautiful song.
