We celebrated Canada’s 150th birthday at the Western Fair District July 1 & 2 by kickin’ it trackside with the great folks at Trackside Music Festival, and what better way to celebrate than with a lineup of artists packed with some of our favourite Canadians!
Day 1
Aaron Pritchett kicked off day one of the festivities along side, Genevieve Fisher, Canaan Smith and guitar shredding Lindsay Ell, along with our Canadian headliner and fan favourite of the day Dallas Smith and the man everyone was dying to see Mr. Thomas Rhett. Thunderstorms couldn’t stop this crowd from celebrating Canada Day in true Canadian fashion. The evening was capped off with fireworks following Rhett’s set.
Day 2
Going into Day 2 we had nothing but clear sunny skies! The crowds started to pile into the track early and showed they were ready to party by running from the gates to the front of the stage & the beer tents to kick off the afternoon with a cold one and to catch The Reklaws, River Town Saints, James Barker Band, Meghan Patrick and Brett Kissel.
As the sun set the crowds grew to the largest we had seen all weekend ready for headliners Brothers Osborne and Kip Moore to cap off an incredible Canada Day weekend packed with country musics finest.
My first experience at Trackside Music Festival was an absolutely incredible one. There’s some buzz about some big news coming for Trackside in 2018, we’re on the edge of our seat hoping that what we’ve heard is true! We’ll have all the details as soon as things are confirmed but until then be sure to bookmark: http://www.tracksidefestival.com/
