So Wednesday night I made my way down to Kitchener, Ontario to catch the #ThreesAParty tour that had a stop at Dallas Night Club. The last time I was at this venue was for the WTLGD tour with Chad Brownlee, Jess Moskaluke & Bobby Wills. And this time it was a Quadruple threat because the very talented Jesse Labelle was a late addition to the show playing 4 or 5 dates on the Ontario leg of the tour. This was Jesse’s second show and boy can this guy play. As I have stated before I am all about the song writing and having Jesse get up alone with his guitar and loop pedal it was damn impressive.
Next up was the sole American on this tour but boy does he pack a punch, James Otto. James doesn’t get a whole lot of airplay up here unless you’re tuned into Sirus XM The Highway as it seems local radio is limited to what it can play these days. James has however written a pile of hits for other amazing artists such as Zac Brown, Colt Ford and Jamey Johnson to name a few. And did James bring it on this night. So much talent in this guy… Well considering he is a towering 6′ 7″ and built like a tank the talent is a plenty in this fella’s soul. Playing his most recent hit Somewhere Tonight and playing my personal favourite track No Hurry which he co-wrote with Zac Brown. If you have a chance to catch this tour be sure to get there early cause he alone is worth the price of admission. Hoping that we can get James back up here in 2016 for a song writers series.
Following Mr. Otto is uber talented Tebey. And to be honest Tebey really seems to be honing that stage show each performance. With the guys limited to only 6 songs, they play the hits so Tebey was full of those… With playing the fan favorite Wake Me Up and opening with his current single Jealous of the Sun he had the crowd moving for the entire set. He didn’t stop moving on the stage either. My personal favourite of the set was his last single When The Buzz Wears Off big fan of that one. It’s not often you get to see 3 amazing artists on one bill but this one had it all.
Last up is co-headliner Jason Blaine. I hadn’t seen Jason in almost two years perform so it was awesome to see him live again. With his current singles Country Side & Spotlight charting very well and the new CD full of hits you knew that Jason was going to blow through his hits during his set and he did not disappoint. I would still have to my personal favourite of his set was the new single Spotlight it had a great fan reaction and I just really dig the tune.
The night ended with a the boys kicking into the Andy Grammer Hit Honey I’m Good and they did the song justice but really needs a banjo and fiddle to get that real country sound. However, the crowd ate it up and that’s what really matters.
If you have a chance to see this tour we strongly suggest you grab tickets ASAP it is well worth the $$. There are a few more Ontario dates left on the tour before the bus rolls West. Grab those tickets and get the boots ready for some stompin’. Check out a few more pics below from the show. And stay tuned we have VIP Experiences right across Canada.
