Hard rock band The Lonely Ones (formerly Bobaflex) made a hometown stop in Columbus, Ohio on their recent tour. The Lonely Ones line-up consists of Marty McCoy (lead vocals, guitar), Jymmy Tolland (now lead guitar, vocals), Tommy Johnson (drums) and the newest member Tru Payne Roberts (bass, vocals), who came onboard after Jake Early departed the band earlier this year.
The show featured a lot of the hard hitting singles the band has put out the last 2 years “Dying All Night Long”,”Eternal Sadness”,”Time Bomb”,”Change The Station” followed by their amazing cover of Queen’s “Flash/The Hero” from the Flash Gordon Soundtrack released in 1980 (US). Then they powered through “Gettin’ High”, “The Way Out” and soon after, as they had teased on facebook, launched into the popular Bobaflex tune “Bury Me With My Guns On.” BUT what the hell, who jumps onto the stage with a guitar? None other than Shaun McCoy – a founding member of Bobaflex for 20 years. The crowd went crazy and many scrambled to get the video going on their cell phones to capture this incredible moment! It was smokin’ hot!

September Mourning is a hard rock band from Los Angeles. Their performances “center around the fictional story of a human-grim reaper named September, as she navigates the worlds of the living and the dead.” Check out their most recent singles “Dirty” and “Mausoleum.” Frontwoman Emily Lazar is simply mesmerizing!
Girl Fox is a “vampire rock” band from Columbus Ohio. I was getting a Smith’s vibe from this band as they were on the stage but it was fleeting. They definitely has their own unique sound and I was glad to finally see them live.
Harmless Habit from Columbus, Ohio just destroys! Can’t say enough about this great local band. The guys are rock stars, very dynamic on stage, yet approachable and very much eager to meet and talk with as many fans as possible. Check out their recent single, “Lights Out” and if you’re new to this band, check out “Ain’t No Rest For the Wicked” – a rock anthem with catchy lyrics that are highly relatable. So much so that the crowd can’t help but join in. Horns Up!
