Tantric rocked The King of Clubs in Columbus, Ohio with two nights of sold out shows the weekend of May 7th and 8th. It was a stellar performance with the unmistakable sound of Hugo Ferreira’s vocal style, great stage presence and awesome riffs.
The King of Clubs is a recently opened event venue in Columbus, Ohio designed with the goal of providing amazing musical experiences for artists and fans of all genres. Even though the show was socially distanced, the energy was high, the venue was thumping, and the people were dancing in their seats.
Tantric used a different set list each night that consisted of their more intimate acoustic style as well as the full out rocking performances they are known for. Night one had many songs from their recent albums and older hit favorites such as “Mourning”. There were also a couple surprises. “Breakdown” received a new twist that featured special guest Doobie on vocals. Bassist Jaron Gulino also premiered his newly received custom stage jacket by Kylla Custom Rock Wear.
Tantric has kept the music flowing over the last year. They began recording a new album in 2020. “The Sum of All Things” has a release date of July 23rd on Cleopatra Records and contains eleven new songs and two remakes of fan favorites. It has been said that the album title could be considered relative to the sum of everything Tantric has become over time. With that statement, one can’t help but look forward to hearing the album in its entirety.
Dedicated to fans and performing, Tantric has also continued touring as much as possible. A commendable feat when scheduling only a month at a time while dealing with the many cancellations, changes, and regulations along the way. They are one of the first national touring bands to bring their live music back to the central Ohio area.
The opening bands did not disappoint, bringing the heat and firing up the crowd. Edge of Destiny traveled all the way from Texas with their impressive female vocalist Kraevin Caedo. Managed Chaos from Columbus, Ohio followed with their hard rock repertoire. Pariah, also hailing from Columbus, provided the direct support with a heavy styled set.
