It was an eventful Canadian Music Week this year in Toronto for us! Sound Check Entertainment had the opportunity to chat 1-on-1 with Canadian country singer Alee!

So our friends Autumn Hill have a new song released to Radio.  I remember chatting with Mike Robins about this one awhile back.  I told him it was easily my favourite song on the album and so happy it’s the new single.   If you haven’t heard this one yet better get ready to hit repeat a couple times.  And if you don’t already have Autumn Hill’s current album you can grab it here.

This past weekend we had a chance to spend 2 days in the small town of Lucknow, Ontario.  For those of you not sure where this quaint little town is.   Lucknow is located just over an hour North-West of Kitchener/ Waterloo.  Before I get started we want to thank all the amazing volunteers who put this fantastic weekend together.  With over 600+ volunteers pulling together to make this my personal favourite of the busy summer season.  This was our 2nd year making the 1h 35min drive to take in some of Country’s biggest names.

We had a chance to sink our toes into the sand with Autumn hill a couple of weeks back. Blame their current hit single was sitting at #4 on Canadian Country Radio. We sat on a beach to discuss the release of Anchor there latest offering of tunes you just can’t skip. This album was released by Wax Records and distributed by Universal Music Canada and have to thank Allison at Universal for setting this one up.

Autumn Hill – Anchor CD Release – June 24^th – Adelaide Hall Toronto

Last night Autumn Hill dropped Anchor at Adelaide Hall for one hell of CD Release party.  With what felt like a full house the energy in the place was just buzzin’. The night started off with Sudbury, Ontario native and label mate Andrew Hyatt.  I had a chance to catch Andrew this past weekend when he played the Sound Of Music Festival in Burlington.  This time around it was a little different.   Andrew had a full band backing him in Burlington but last night it was him and his guitarist. I am more an acoustic guy and love hearing things a bit more raw and less plugged in so this set was PERFECT for my liking.  Andrew had a solid 30 min set and if you have a chance to see him anywhere this summer I strongly suggest making the effort.

If you have been listening to Canadian Country radio over the last say 2 or 3 months then you have defiantly heard the hit single BLAME by the very talented Autumn Hill.    My wife and I actually listened to this album together and we were both in awe of how solid it was from start to finish.
