OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA, MAY 23, 2023 The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival returns June 22-25 with free all ages concerts from headliners Dear Rouge, Tim Baker and Bedouin Soundclash.

Tim Horton’s Dragon Boat Festival is an acclaimed sporting and family-friendly event held annually in Ottawa.The Dragon Boat races are the largest in North America, and coupled with the free concerts and activities hosted each day, Mooney’s Bay Park sees an influx of locals and visitors to enjoy the event. This year, the Festival was held June 20th to 23rd, and talent from across Canada were slotted to play four evenings on the Hillside stage.

For more than a quarter century, the month of June brings the Tim Horton’s Dragon Boat Festival to Ottawa.This year’s event takes place from June 20th through 23rd. The annual event hosts 200 teams from across North America who participate in the community, corporate, and competitive races. As the sun sets music fills the air and this summer the first half of the fest was kicked off with Half Moon Run and Alan Doyle.

The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival returns June 21 to 24 for its 25^th Anniversary. Highlighting this milestone are free concerts from Sam Roberts Band (21^st), Broken Social Scene (22^nd), Wintersleep and Hollerado (23^rd), and Matt Mays (24^th). 

Annually marking the first weekend of summer, the Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival brings together North America’s premier dragon boating regatta and an epic lineup of free concerts! This year is no different as the 2017 Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival has put together a top notch lineup.

To call me a fan of July Talk would be an understatement.

Here is a band that came into my life late last year, and has since enveloped a huge part of my personal music tastes, and I find myself often mimicking their sound and feeling when I put on my stage character with my group Project Mantra. 

I’ll be completely honest that most years when our friends at Ottawa Dragon Boat announce their headliners, or their opening acts for that matter, I have little to no idea who they are. Aside from a few acts carried over from last summer’s RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest (Mother Mother, The Beaches and Alvvays) the same stood true this year.

It’s that time of year again, some of Ottawa’s biggest summer events are announcing their 2016 lineups. First out of the gate is the 23rd Annual Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival who, this morning, announced their incredible lineup of entertainment on the Hillside Amphitheatre stage.

To say that 2015 has started with a bang is a major understatement.  It took the independent Sound Check over a year to hit 100,000 readers and we hit 200,000 in just the first month and a half of 2015.
