It seems like just yesterday we were counting down from 2016 to 2017, it’s amazing how time flies when you’re having fun. 2017 also known as Canada 150 came with its share of highlights from the JUNOs to the Grey Cup and plenty of amazing milestones in between. Here’s a look back at the year that was and the year, we predict, lies ahead in 2018.

On October 1st, 2017 the lives of many people changed forever. Country fans from near and far gathered in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival for what was supposed to be an evening filled with singing, laughter and a stompin’ good time. Little did the concert-goers know that lurking in the shadows was a gunman hellbent of causing the worse massacre in modern history.

Tis the season for festival lineup announcements. Manitoulin Country Fest has already announced Michelle Wright, Washboard Union, Meghan Patrick, Chris Buck, Western Swing Authority, Scotty James, The Abrams and Nicole Rayy for their 2017 event. Today they add two more talented Canadian artists….
CCMA Awards – Kick Off Concert
On Sunday afternoon before some of Canada’s most talented Country Musicians walked the John Deere Green Carpet the folks at the Canadian Country Music Association thought they would throw a little party. With some of the amazing talent take the stage for a FREE concert from 3-5. And this line up was stacked. With performances from The Lovelocks, Lindsay Ell, Wes Mack, River Town Saints, The Washboard Union and Bobby Wills.
Killer Send Off to Summer @ Lucknow MITF
That’s a wrap. WOW, not really sure if there is a better way to say goodbye to the summer of 2016. With over 8 high profile country music festivals in Ontario this summer I can honestly say that Lucknow Music In The Fields wins top spot in my books. Before I dealve into the music side of things lets just touch on the people behind the festival that make such an incredible event happen.

The Lovelocks – Time After Time
