At the end of last year I looked ahead to 2015 and made a bold prediction that it would be bigger with more interviews with bigger artists, more festivals, more events and more contests. I could never have predicted exactly how much bigger the year would actually be.
Jess Moskaluke Rocks KX Country
This past Thursday night Jess Moskaluke blew the doors off the Phoenix. Well, what was left of them anyway.

That was fast. So in a blink of an eye the folks over at Havelock didn’t wait long to announce the 2nd round of artists to hit the stage. Here they are and boy the 2nd round ibring’s some true Canadian Country along with some of Nashville’s newest flavour. What do you think?
Jason Blaine brings the Three’s A Party Tour home to Ottawa
Ok so Ottawa is a few hours drive east of home for Jason Blaine but, as he put it, it’s as close as he was going to get to bringing his Three’s A Party tour to Pembroke, Ontario. Jason is currently touring Canada with Tebey and James Otto.
Three’s A Party – Nashville North
As we have covered most of the Ontario dates on the Three’s A Party tour here is a quick photo Review of the SOLD OUT show in Georgetown at Nashville North. For those of you that haven’t been to this venue for a show we totally recommend going. With the two levels to take it all in and some great sight lines it really is a great place to see a show. On this night we had a Four’s A Party with the addition of Jesse Labelle to the lineup.
JESSE LABELLE
JAMES OTTO
TEBEY

If you are in Western Canada don’t miss this tour it’s headed your way. Grab tickets at www.threesapartytour.com
Thanks to Ray Williams for taking some great shots of the night.

Three’s A Party – Oshawa
So the boy’s are wrapping up the Ontario dates on the Three’s A Party Tour this week with one final stop in Thunder Bay on Friday night. However, Oshawa was our last full coverage show and they did not disappoint. The Oshawa show was minus the 4th partier from previous shows Jesse Labelle who had played a few of the Ontario dates wasn’t on this bill. It was the big man James Otto who kicked things off and the foot was on the pedal for the entire 90 min set for all three artists. Want to thank Scott Burns Images for clicking a few awesome frames for SCE. Enjoy the images!
Three’s A Party Tour brings it in Kitchener
So Wednesday night I made my way down to Kitchener, Ontario to catch the #ThreesAParty tour that had a stop at Dallas Night Club. The last time I was at this venue was for the WTLGD tour with Chad Brownlee, Jess Moskaluke & Bobby Wills.
Three’s A Party – Halifax
Last night the Three’s A Party tour kicked off in Halifax at Casino Halifax. It was a one of those nights you could feel the energy in the room ready to explode. We are so thankful to have James Bennett covering the East in Canada for SCE now. Here is a glimpse of what James caught for us on camera! We will have some EXTENSIVE coverage of this tour while it rolls through Ontario over the next 10 Days with stops in Peterborough, Kitchener, London, Georgetown, Bellville, Ottawa, Oshawa & Kingston we will be at most of these shows bringing you the most extensive coverage including behind the scenes and possibly a an intimate performance or two.

Hendrik’s Top Country Artists to Watch in 2016
After reading through Corey’s top 10 artists to watch in 2016 I started thinking of who I would put in that list. There are definitely similarities between my 10 and Corey’s, as you will see. 2015 has been a big year for Canadian country music from the tour perspective with all the major players hitting the road, Dallas Smith started the year with his hugely successful “Tippin’ Point Tour” featuring Sundy Best and now this fall Dean Brody and Paul Brandt just wrapped up their “Road Trip Tour”, Brett Kissel and Jordan McIntosh are currently on the road with their “Airwaves Tour” and Tebey kicks off his “Three’s A Party Tour” with Jason Blaine and James Otto on Friday in Halifax and to cap off the year Tim Hicks is hitting the road with Cold Creek County and Jason Benoit for their “Get A Little Crazy Tour”. Notice something missing? Out of all the tours above only the “Road Trip Tour” featured tomatoes as an added ingredient with Lindi Ortega, Jess Moskaluke, Madeline Merlo and Whitney Rose featured throughout the tour.
So let’s take a look at who I think has the greatest chance of breaking out in the coming year, 2016.
Tebey – Jealous Of The Sun
Our friend Tebey is gearing up for a big tour with Jason Blaine and James Otto and just yesterday released the official music video for his latest, one of my personal favourites, single “Jealous of the Sun”.
