The day started out looking much like a repeat of 2019 which saw heavy rains overtake the venue but Matt Lang promised that the rain would push past by showtime and although light rain continued on and off through Manny Blu’s, just as Matt had promised, the passed and a rainbow took its place just in time for Kelsi Mayne to take to the stage.

After an amazing first day in St. Agapit, Quebec, which matched attendance from last year’s record-breaking show with Tim Hicks and James Barker Band, you’d think it would be hard to top on Saturday. To say that we’ve been anticipating the 2017 Festival Country de Lotbinière for a while would be a massive understatement. We’ve been watching this festival develop from the sidelines and hearing stories about the country crazy crowds in Quebec from our friends the River Town Saints and Cory Marquardt so when the opportunity finally arose for us to actually make the trip east to the village of St. Agapit it felt like forever before this weekend finally arrived.
