The National Arts Centre Orchestra welcomed L.A.-based Troupe Vertigo for three nights of jaw-dropping circus-dance-theatre performances accompanied by the fiery music of Emmanuel Chabrier’s España together with sizzling selections from George Gershwin, George Bizet’s Carmen and more.

Juno Artist of the Year does Ottawa!
Charlotte Cardin was the most-nominated artist at the 2022 Juno Awards, receiving nods for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Video of the Year, as well as the coveted Fan Choice Award. She sold out Ottawa’s Southam Hall for two nights and we were there to enjoy it.

Patrick Watson Orchestrates a Moving Performance
Patrick Watson performed, for a packed crowd, along-side the NAC orchestra for their new SESSIONS series. We were lucky enough to be present for this highly anticipated show that took place in a sold out Southam Hall. The next stop for this talented band is back to their native Quebec, where they finish off their current tour.
NAC Orchestra and Johnny Reid deliver Christmas Magic in Southam Hall
It’s beginning to look a lot like…well anything but Christmas outside. The weather outside was frightful but looking anything like Christmas as heavy rain and warm temperatures have washed away what was left of the snow. But inside the walls of the National Arts Centre the Christmas Spirit was alive and well and on Friday night the NAC Orchestra was joined by our friend Johnny Reid for a night of Christmas Music, stories and laughter.
Sax Education Class with Kenny G
Kenny G and his band brought their Miracles Holiday & Hits Tour to Ottawa’s National Arts Centre on Wednesday night. Billed as a night filled with festive spirit and contemporary classics, the newly renovated NAC was all decked out for the holidays. Decorations included an enormous Christmas tree, giant nutcrackers, and the largest rocking chair this side of the Rideau canal.
