Over the past few months independent pop artist Meg Smith has been dropping songs from her recently released EP. With Cool 4 U and Because Of Me being upbeat, sugary and fun songs you can crank up in the car and sing along with or dance around in your living room while Who Not To Love is a heartbreakingly beautiful song that anyone who’s ever experienced heartbreak will be able to listen to it and relate to.
Brett Eldredge started his 2019 by stepping back from social media and smartphones and began a journey of self-discovery, living in the moment, and embracing life. The year left fans missing him posting videos on Snapchat, Instagram and interacting with his fans online. While that year proved to be a long one for fans, it proved to be one of the best years for Brett. He put away his smartphone and pulled out a polaroid, living life through a different lens and seeing the world from a whole new perspective.
The Danny Sylvester Band and Sandi Skye were recently at Lasso Live in Pembroke and had this bar rocking out country style deep into the early hours. Singer/songwriter Lisa LeBlanc has had a few appearances in Ottawa within the past week including Outlaws and Gunslingers session at St. Brigid’s Centre for Arts for JunoFest, and attended the Juno Awards as a nominee for a contemporary roots album of the year, and her Ottawa visit culminated on Saturday night at the sold out show at Zaphod’s.

The Franklin Electric out of Montreal, put on an amazing show last night at The Drake Underground and we were there to take it all in. The second of two sold out shows, found the band excited and enthusiastic. Let me just add a side note – I love this venue for live music. I love the size, the acoustics, the location, the staff.
