ACMA awards 2019 – 2 Edmonton Bands Dominate
Alberta’s Country Music Association held their 9th annual awards weekend in Red Deer last weekend. The sold out award show, hosted this year by Jess Moskaluke, was the largest to date and offered up a lot of fun – and learning leading to the awards show Sunday night festivities.

Ottawa Country Music came together in support of CHEO
Early in the new year our friends at Spotlight Ottawa brought to our attention plans for a charity event to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). The months that followed would lead to us being part of something extremely special. Months of hard work and planning brought us to last Saturday night, October 21…Sing Out for CHEO.
Tim Hicks brings the party back to Spencerville
It was the fall of 2014 we were approached by the folks at the Spencerville Stampede asking if we’d be interested in working with them on their 2015 entertainment lineup. Going into their 4th year this year the Stampede had always had a musical component but they wanted to raise the ante and bring some higher profile entertainment to the event.
New Country 94 comes to Ottawa to ROCK!
So there’s this new radio station in town, Ottawa’s New Country 94, and they aren’t wasting anytime, regardless of what Dallas Smith says, proving that they are here to put the party back into Ottawa.
Since debuting on the air this past fall they’ve been presenting sponsor for some of the biggest country music concerts at Canadian Tire Centre including Eric Church. Last night their official launch party was held at the Algonquin Commons Theatre. The event included cocktails, finger foods and some live music to keep the guests entertained….
Ottawa rings in 2015 with Tim Hicks
On a cold, crisp, clear night, a Canadian New Years Eve was celebrated on the Sparks Street Mall, Ottawa. The maple leaf, ringed in colour, was hoisted up overlooking the crowd ready to be dropped at midnight. The digital time clock shone from the side of a building. Morning DJ, Ryan Lindsay, from Ottawa’s newest station New Country 94 mc’d the show and threw out t-shirts and hats to the audience.
