It’s unusual for Spanish acts to make it all the way to Canada. So when I heard that Rosalía, Spain’s latest musical sensation, was going to be performing in Toronto on her sole Canadian stop, I had to go. Not because I’m a huge fan or because she is from Spain but because my mother was, and I’m sure continues to be wherever she is, a big fan and every time I would visit Spain she would talk about this young flamenco singer/dancer and how amazing she was and how one day she would be a star.
