Country music has always been strong in the Ottawa Valley but country music festivals, not so much. There have been a few attempts over the years including a personal favourite, Calabogie Country, at which we were first introduced to one of the headliners of the Valley’s newest country music festival, the Horton Hoedown, which announced its second annual lineup today featuring, headliner, Bobby Wills.
Sing Out for CHEO returns this February moves to Lone Star Loft!
Last year we joined forces with several local partners to help present Sing Out for CHEO. This amazing event has featured incredible performances by artists like the River Town Saints, Sandi Skye and, of course, event founder, Danny Sylvestre. We are now happy to announce that the next Sing Out for CHEO event will take place on February 22 at the Lone Star Loft in Ottawa.
Day two shatters records as Brett Kissel rocks Lotbinière
After an amazing first day in St. Agapit, Quebec, which matched attendance from last year’s record-breaking show with Tim Hicks and James Barker Band, you’d think it would be hard to top on Saturday. But then again a lineup of heavy hitters starting with Ottawa’s own Rainwater Whiskey and perfect weather matched with a province of hungry country music fans anything was possible.
Gord Bamford coming to Pembroke for Robbie Dean Centre
The Robbie Dean Centre is a beacon of hope for families and individuals in distress or crisis that sheds light on their journey to wellness. The centre is determined to enhance the quality of life of those who live in Renfrew County. The Robbie Dean Centre is also a community funded, registered charity. It beats with the heart of those it supports. It lives because of them! And this June they’ll be getting some support from multiple JUNO Award nominee and 24 time CCMA award winner Gord Bamford.

If you were on the dance floor you definitely had a workout. There’s definitely a case that says the break between sets isn’t for the band- its for those on the dance floor.
