Once a year Jason Blaine gathers up a few of his closest friends in the country music industry, throws them on a bus and hauls them to Pembroke, Ontario for a couple of days of golf and music all in the name of charity. Everyone from Tim Hicks to Dean Brody has taken part in this amazing event which raises thousands of dollars for the community each year.
Brett Kissel makes triumphant return to Pembroke
We told you that back in February when Brett made his first appearance at Pembroke’s Festival Hall that he promised organizers that he would return to help raise the remaining funds for the playground at Holy Name Catholic School. Last weekend Brett made good on that promise and brought one of his best shows of the year to the PMC as crowds came out to End Summer with A Song.

The centre is determined to enhance the quality of life of those who live in Renfrew County. The Robbie Dean Centre is also a community funded, registered charity. It beats with the heart of those it supports. It lives because of them! And this June they’ll be getting some support from multiple JUNO Award nominee and 24 time CCMA award winner Gord Bamford.

The school yard at Holy Name school in Pembroke is in desperate need of new playground equipment. They could’ve held a bake sale, a car wash or even sold nevada tickets but instead they decided to invite Brett Kissel to make Pembroke’s Festival Hall a stop on his We Were That Song tour…last night we had the pleasure of being part of an incredible night that will take be remembered, for many years, as one of the most amazing nights of live entertainment ever to rock the Ottawa Valley.

The Danny Sylvester Band and Sandi Skye were recently at Lasso Live in Pembroke and had this bar rocking out country style deep into the early hours. These two singers/songwriters were the perfect pairing for a night to just sing, dance and let go and have good time and from all appearances that’s exactly what the audience did.
