The first night of CityFolk Festival in Ottawa was Wednesday, and it went off without a hitch. With stylings from the likes of Kaija, Ruth B, Allan Rayman and Post Malone, there was a little something for everyone.

We are thrilled to present Sing Out for CHEO!, a one night only fundraising event for the CHEO Foundation, featuring performances by Danny Sylvester, Sandi Skye, John Allaire and headliners River Town Saints.

Thursday night brought forth an experience like none other! I am still not sure if I was at a classic 90s party or a concert like no concert I’d ever experienced before.

Marvest is a musical harvest. It is an offshoot of CityFolk that runs September 15th and 16th, 2017 in The Glebe. Marvest shows are FREE! The focus of Marvest is to present Ottawa with a feast of locally produced music. Saturday afternoon shows in Bank Street venues will be family friendly. Marvest is all about bringing people together in appreciation of local music.

This past Friday night, local bands FLUID, The Bitchin’ Wickedz, and Down In Eden teamed up to deliver an energetic showcase of rock music to satisfied show-goers at Café Dekcuf.

The second annual Hopped and Confused festival kicked off at Ottawa’s Mill Street Brewery last night. Dine Alone Records had once again outdone themselves with bringing a fantastic all Canadian lineup to the festival, and the crowd seemed more than pleased.

The Crazy Horse in Kanata converted their parking lot to a stage where Kira Isabella took over Friday night, and River Town Saints stormed in Saturday. Both put on one hell of a show!

Mother Nature saved her August rain for Tuesday and spared a massive crowd at Ottawa’s TD Place stadium on Monday night from her wrath. Massive crowds arrived early and showed a lot of Patience and didn’t cry over long merch and beer lineups because it was all better by 7:30 when Axl Rose, Slash, Duff and the rest of Guns N’ Roses exploded onto the stage.

Platinum selling country star and 604 Records recording artist Dallas Smith is pleased to announce the 2017 “Side Effects Tour”, presented by Old Camp Whiskey. Kicking off in Halifax on October 12^th and making stops in 26 cities across the country before wrapping in Abbotsford on November 18^th, the national tour will see special guests Lauren Alaina, James Barker Band, Cold Creek County, Michael Ray and The Cadillac Three join Smith for select dates. The “Side Effects Tour” announcement comes on the heels of Smith’s fourth #1 single at Canadian country radio with “Sky Stays This Blue”, a first for a Canadian male country artist.

Brea Lawrenson and The Road Hammers took to the stage in Navan, Ontario Saturday night and it was a treat indeed!
