Shine on You Crazy Diamond – Brit Floyd @ TD Place
A Tuesday night show time did not stop TD Place from filling up with Pink Floyd fans. Brit Floyd is the Pink Floyd approved tribute band and fans could see why! This was not my first Pink Floyd tribute, this was actually my third. The first two were Australian Tributes, who followed albums in order, gave a more predictable set, but the Brit Floyd show provided the audience with a unique experience. Bouncing between albums from throughout the bands history gave the audience a taste of all the hits. The sit down show often took to standing as eager and appreciative fans gave standing ovations to soloist including the Great Gig in the Sky.

Lights Brightens Spirits In Ottawa
Humble. Friendly. Funny. Passionate. Versatile. Unique. Just some of the many adjectives I could use to describe Lights, who brought her unique brand of electronica-meets-pop-meets-scene to a near capacity crowd at the Algonquin Commons Theatre Wednesday night.
Nelly Still Hot In Herre | Algonquin Commons Theatre
Coming of age in the 2000s, it was hard to not have been at least peripherally familiar with Nelly’s music, if not jamming to his songs on the radio or in the club on a regular basis. Once a huge household name in hip-hop music, Grammy award winner Nelly performed at a much smaller venue than one might expect last night in Ottawa: the 700-seat Algonquin Commons Theatre. Unsurprisingly, the show was sold out.
Rod Stewart, Forever Young In Ottawa | Canadian Tire Centre
Sometimes when you look forward to seeing one of your idols perform, you maybe expect too much and you are sometimes left disappointed. That was not the case on Friday evening when Rod Stewart brought his 2018 World Tour to Canadian Tire Centre. The crowd was a mix of ages but leaned toward middle aged people there to hear the legend who started out in the early sixties with The Jeff Beck Group and The Faces before embarking on his own extremely successful solo career. Stewart has had a career spanning over 50 years in music, releasing his first single in 1964.
Judas Priest Rides in with Firepower | TD Place, Ottawa
Judas Priest with their Firepower Tour united a capacity crowd at the TD Place in Ottawa and had no trouble reminding the world that metal is not a long lost art form. – it’s always been here.
Double Vision – Foreigner rocks Ottawa & Kingston
It was a tour that was 40, well technically 41, years in the making as Foreigner, along with special guests Chilliwack, brought the second leg of their 40th Anniversary tour to TD Place in Ottawa and Rogers K-Rock Centre in Kingston.
