Alessia Cara kicks things off in the Capital.
The National Arts Centre was buzzing, with a different than normal crowd, Saturday night when the reigning Best New Artist Grammy winner from Brampton Ontario stopped by to kick off her “The Pains of Growing Tour”. The NAC’s Southam Hall was filled with people of all ages, but mostly screaming tweens and their parents, excited to see one of their idols.
Godsmack and Volbeat rock Ottawa
When I was told I was shooting Godsmack I was excited. I saw them live many years ago and became a big fan. The Canadian Tire Center was the spot for the night, and it was going to be amazing. Godsmack brought along Danish rock band Volbeat and American’s Stitched up Heart along for the ride to round out the lineup. One thing I found interesting was the fact that Volbeat was playing a set just as long as a headliner. This made the tour more like a tag team vs and opening act and headliner moment.
Ottawa Comiccon and Clocktower Brew Pub Create the Ultimate Beer Lovers Team-up!
For fans of epic superhero awesome sauce, when it comes to the big screen, Endgame is a new beginning of possibilities. There’s a lot of choice and seemingly endless directions. Within the source material, that thrilling vastness of comic book lore, there have been some epic team-ups. The Flash and Green Lantern! Deadpool and Spider-man! Ghost Rider and…Howard the Duck?
Ok, so they haven’t all been the sauce of awesomeness but O-town’s own geektastic conjoining of mighty entities is, bub!
THE DEAD SOUTH SERVED COLD TOUR
Try not to step on the chalk outlines when navigating through prairie pickers The Dead South’s catalogue. Over the course of two full-length albums, it’s true that the villainous, murderous match-strikers and revenge-takers outnumber those with good intentions, but in the end, no heinous act goes unpunished.

Tokyo Police Club rock Ottawa’s Bronson Centre
On the heels of announcing an exciting partnership with Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre that would see it become a larger player in Ottawa’s music scene, Bronson Centre hosted two Ontario bands notorious for memorable live performances.
