At the end of last year I looked ahead to 2015 and made a bold prediction that it would be bigger with more interviews with bigger artists, more festivals, more events and more contests. I could never have predicted exactly how much bigger the year would actually be.
Tim Hicks brings the Crazy to Guelph…
After having sat with Tim Hicks on a few occasions over the last 2 years its been pretty amazing watching his popularity on the Canadian country music scene flourish. I can recall sitting down with Tim 2 years ago at Boots and Hearts and talking about his contentment in just being a part of the country music scene in Ontario. Last night while standing amid a throng of eager, sweat-drenched fans who were belting out word-for-word the lyrics to nearly every song in his set I was overwhelmed by how quickly things have changed.

Tim Hicks is set to embark on his very first headlining tour across Canada. We sat down with Tim in August and he did a couple cuts off of his 5:01+ album. Here is the only cut off 5:01+ that wasn’t part of his recent Trilogy of videos released to radio for online use a couple of weeks back. Not sure if we are the only ones with an acoustic performance of this one but its a great cut. We also want to wish Tim all the best on the Get A little Crazy Tour . The Road Trip tour rolls into Ontario tomorrow night for their first of 7 dates. With pit stops in Thunder Bay (10th), Sudbury (13th), London (15th) Hamilton (16th), Oshawa (17th), Kingston (18th) & Ottawa (19th) there is plenty opportunity to catch some amazing music this month.

So we introduced our Mason Jar Session last month with Autumn Hill performing an amazing rendition of their smash hit Blame. This time around the boys of Blackjack Billy recorded there current single Why God Made Summertime. This was recorded on Thursday just before they hit the stage at Canada’s largest country music festival – Boots & Hearts. Huge thanks to the boys for doing this!
