Day 2 began weather wise almost where Day 1 ended … there were sever wind warnings in effect with speeds up to 50 km/hr expected in the afternoon

It’s no secret we’re huge supporters of women in country music. We’re so lucky in Canada to have so many incredible female artists which is why we’re so excited about Girls with Guitars, this new initiative from Country 101.1 and The Marshes Golf Club.

A few months ago Amanda Kingsland of Country 101.1 went to the CCMA Awards sporting a unique shirt. The shirt had 5 names on it. Jess, Kira, Meghan, Lindsay and Madeline. Not long after that the station launched the Girl Power Hour and soon after a trend was born.

Meghan Patrick was the first and only female solo artist to take to the main stage at this year’s Rockin River Music Festival in Merritt BC … and Sound Check Entertainment was granted exclusive access to the entire set from the photo pit.

Like the weather, SunFest Day 3 was a scorcher. As the temperatures rose the festival goers avoided the heat and preserved their energy for the night to come featuring Meghan Patrick, Brett Young and headliner Dustin Lynch.
