The remnants of Hurricane Beryl did a number of the grounds at Ottawa Bluesfest as it entered day 6 causing a slight delay in the venue opening. But mud and threats of more rain only had minor impacts on the crowd and did little to dampen spirits of festival goers in Canada’s capital.
Burlington Sound of Music 2018
This year we kicked off summer festival season in southern Ontario once again with none other than Burlington Sound of Music Festival in beautiful Spencer Smith Park on the shores of Lake Ontario. Thankfully we were by the lake because Mother Nature sure brought the heat. If you’ve never been before be sure to check it out next year as the festival celebrates its 40th Anniversary. Throughout the weekend we had the privilege to catch acts such as Tyler Shaw, Scott Helman, Texas King, The Elwins, Royal North, Kongos, See Spot Run, The Pursuit of Happiness and non other than Matthew Good who closed out the festival on Sunday afternoon.
Matt Good & Our Lady Peace bring the Nostalgia to London
Budweiser Gardens was the seventh stop on this all Canadian joint tour with Matthew Good and Our Lady Peace with support from Ascot Royals on Saturday night, and while it was a more intimate setting being a half arena show it couldn’t have been any better.
OLP Herald Nostalgia in Ottawa
I walked into the TD Place with hesitation.
