On October 1st, 2017 the lives of many people changed forever. Country fans from near and far gathered in Las Vegas at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival for what was supposed to be an evening filled with singing, laughter and a stompin’ good time. Little did the concert-goers know that lurking in the shadows was a gunman hellbent of causing the worse massacre in modern history.
Emotions run high for Eric Church as he debuts “Why Not Me” at the Opry
The events from last Sunday night in Las Vegas have left deep scars in many in the country music family. Eric Church performed a week ago last night on the same stage at Route 91. Just days later Church performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville where he spoke, very emotionally, about how he felt that Friday night and then how he felt on Sunday night as news spread of the tragedy that befell the festival on it’s closing night.

It’s been a while since I’ve taken the time to sit down and write a Monday Musings post but this morning after hearing news of the attack on Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas I knew I had no choice but to write.
