We caught up with with Halifax naive Ria Mae as part of Juno Week. Ria is nominated for Pop Album of the Year at the 2018 Junos and we were lucky enough to chat with her about her success this past year.

This year at JUNOfest, The Strumbellas delivered something a little different – an afternoon rock show for kids. Knowing that my 2 boys like them, I grabbed tickets as soon as they were available, so I could share a concert experience with them.

Singer/songwriter Lisa LeBlanc has had a few appearances in Ottawa within the past week including Outlaws and Gunslingers session at St. Brigid’s Centre for Arts for JunoFest, and attended the Juno Awards as a nominee for a contemporary roots album of the year, and her Ottawa visit culminated on Saturday night at the sold out show at Zaphod’s.
Joey Landreth brings Whiskey to Dakota Tavern in Toronto
Joey Landreth grew up in a musical home and first started touring at 16. Joey started a band The Bros. Landreth with his brother in 2013, which landed them a Juno for best “Roots & Traditional Album of the Year” for their album Let it Lie, Joey is definitely no stranger to the music world. In fact, in 2016 he decided to go solo and create the album Whiskey and Toronto was lucky enough to have him rocking The Dakota Tavern to a sold out crowd.
