For the third year in a row, Coors Banquet is looking to name Canada’s top One Horse Town and award them with a legendary country music concert.  Last year’s winner, Truro, Nova Scotia, was treated to the biggest concert the town has ever seen, featuring Dean Brody, Chad Brownlee, and the River Town Saints.  The 2017 contest, which officially opened April 17, boasts the biggest country music acts in its three year history: multi-platinum Grammy winning superstar Darius Rucker will be headlining the concert joined by 2017 ACM New Male Vocalist Award winner Jon Pardi, three-time reigning CCMA Female Artist Of The Year and 2017 JUNO Award winner Jess Moskaluke and hot newcomers James Barker Band.

Trackside Music Festival announces nine new artists to complete full two-day main stage line-up

October, 31 2016 – In the midst of an exhilarating album launch, Dean Brody brings his brand new album, Beautiful Freakshow, coast to coast through local media appearances, and country radio listener events, culminating in a special live performance in Toronto, to kick-off the announcement of national tour dates, beginning April 2017.

We had a chance to sit down with the James Barker Band earlier this summer at Boots & Hearts.   The boys jammed out their smash hit Lawn Chair Lazy for us.   Crank this one all the way up to 10.  Also a big congrats to the fellas for signing with Universal Music Canada this week!  Well done fellas!

Four days of incredible music with world class headliners and a rising group out of the Ottawa area stole the final day of Boots and Hearts with an incredibly high energy, Main Stage worthy, show on the Front Porch Stage on Sunday afternoon.

The weather may have been slightly cooler on Saturday at Boots and Hearts but the entertainment was red hot. From Tomi Swick to headliner Blake Shelton and a handful of incredibly talented Emerging Artists it was a day to remember.

So CMT Canada / Corus Entertainment jumped into the world of Festivals this past weekend full force with CMT Music Fest.  The inaugural event took place in Kitchener,home of the OHL Kitchener Rangers and then venue in which the big party was taking place Bingamens.   For those of you that haven’t been lucky enough to attend Octoberfest in the KW area Bingamans has hosted some pretty epic parties in the past.   Maybe not to this scale but this one was BIG.

Sometimes the stars align and things just seem to be perfect and nothing can knock that feeling away.  Well last Thursday night in Toronto all the country stars you could think of showed up and played one of the best venues in the city in support of the relief efforts for Fort McMurray.   It was honestly one of the coolest and intimate experiences I have had in a long time. Along with raising just over $17,000 for the cause. #Country4FortMac
