TORONTO – The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) today announced that tickets for a highly anticipated JUNO Week event, JUNO Kick-Off Concert Presented by CBC Sports, are now on sale. JUNO Award winners and Saskatoon’s own, The Sheepdogs, will headline the event along with a night of classic Canadian covers and collaborations with your favourite JUNO artists and players from JUNO Cup. Proceeds from the event support MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS and the JUNO Awards.
Sam Roberts, Matt Mays and more set to headline 25th Anniversary of Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival
The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival returns June 21 to 24 for its 25th Anniversary. Highlighting this milestone are free concerts from Sam Roberts Band (21st), Broken Social Scene (22nd), Wintersleep and Hollerado (23rd), and Matt Mays (24th).

The second day of Dine Alone Records and Mill Street Brew Pub’s Hopped and Confused festival saw some entertaining acts as Ottawa’s own New Swears opened the day 2 on the sunny Saturday evening.
Hollerado brings Born Yesterday home to Ottawa
Hollerado is currently on a cross Canada tour promoting their third studio album ‘Born Yesterday’. The 4-piece indie rock group from Manotick released this album in April and wasted no time getting out on the road. This show was supposed to be one of the last at the popular club Zaphod’s in the market, however, it was such a hot ticket that it had to be moved to the more spacious Bronson Centre.
