Tim Albertson is back with his first single of 2022, “Spin That Bottle”, available everywhere TODAY. Well here we are, end of another year. 2021, the year started with a glimmer of hope and as the year went on the light at the end of this long COVID tunnel grew brighter and brighter…but it turns out the light was just an oncoming train called Omicron that would set us back even further than ever before. So we’re ending the year right back where we started the year…more or less locked down.

And just like that 2020 is in the past and a new year is upon us. As every spends the day struggling with the resolutions they made last night let’s take a look back at the year that was. 2020 was a year that the entertainment industry went dark. Theatres, stadiums all sat empty and the super successful artists, who make millions of dollars in royalties in their sleep, were on every TV telling us that we’re in this together while yet to be established artists lost sleep over where they’d find money for rent or food now that they’re primary income source, gigs, had dried up.

It’s the summer of 2020, most events that involved crowds of any size have been postponed or cancelled outright. Leave it to a campground deep in the 1000 Islands of Ontario to save the day and find a way to keep live music happening!

We were all disappointed when COVID forced Happy Green Acres to cancel Big River Country Fest for, at least, this summer. But fear not if you’re looking for live music Happy Green Acres will have you fix this August.

Happy Green Acres is a campground and special events venue located near Brockville Ontario in the heart of the 1000 Islands. In the summer of 2018 the venue played host to 3 popular festivals and for 2019 the festivals have grown to 5.
