Last month the CMAO launched a contest in conjunction with Brett Kissel and Invictus Entertainment that would give a number of lucky Ontario musicians the opportunity to open for Brett on his upcoming ‘Ice, Snow and 30 Below Tour’. There were easily hundreds, if not thousands of entries from prospective artists itching for the opportunity to perform with Brett. Now we know who it will be….
It was late November and Autumn Hill, Jason Benoit and River Town Saints played four shows on a quick little jaunt across Ontario with the first stop in Ottawa then off to Hamilton, Kitchener and London to close things out. Four fantastic nights of music. We were made it to three of the shows and well we all agreed that all were fantastic.
Toronto, ON (August 31, 2015) – JUNO Award nominee and CCMA Award winner, Tim Hicks announced today that he will headline the 2015 GET A LITTLE CRAZY TOUR beginning November 1 in Sault Ste Marie, ON and continuing across Canada through the end of the month with friends Jason Benoit and Cold Creek County stacking the lineup. The highly praised and top ranked Canadian artist, who built one of country music’s most loyal audiences show by show, and song by song, confirmed that he will hit major markets including Winnipeg, Calgary, London and Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, with multiple sold out dates expected.
As we promised during Ottawa Bluesfest and again earlier this week Dear Rouge is about to hit the road on a major North American & European tour with fellow Canadian’s Rah Rah.
Vancouver singer/songwriter Rodney DeCroo is touring across Canada to promote his new album Campfires on the Moon. He played a stop last week at Toronto’s The Tennessee, and we were there to shoot a few pictures and take in his set.
People were anxious to see Dallas Smith in Guelph. Fans lined up in the cold an hour before the doors opened. Want to avoid the line up? The VIP experience gets you in to see the sound check, a Meet & Greet, commemorative tour laminate and priority access to the merch table. You can check out all the details here.
I wanted to take a minute and say what a beautiful venue this is. The sound was great, I love the old school feel, the balcony and the staff were spot on. It was a pleasure spending time here.
