Joey Landreth grew up in a musical home and first started touring at 16. Joey started a band The Bros. Landreth with his brother in 2013, which landed them a Juno for best “Roots & Traditional Album of the Year” for their album Let it Lie, Joey is definitely no stranger to the music world. In fact, in 2016 he decided to go solo and create the album Whiskey and Toronto was lucky enough to have him rocking The Dakota Tavern to a sold out crowd.
Four Chords And The Truth – 6th Confessions
Thursday night at The Dakota Tavern was by far the most diverse instalment of the Four Chords And The Truth series. Really getting to the “kernels of the popcorn”. The songwriters featured at each confession have the opportunity to get back to the roots of each of their songs and give us (the audience) some vulnerable insight into the origin of their art.
CMW 2016 Hits The Dakota
Canadian Music Week 2016 is in full swing in Toronto. And man it’s pretty much all night, every night, at every venue in the T-dot. While Corey was over at the Phoenix, I hit up the Dakota Tavern to capture the action and here is my recap of what went down.

Over the last couple years I have been able to take in a few of the shows that happen during Canadian Music Week. This year is no different.
