Wow… What a week so much great music graced my eardrums this week.  I have got it down to the 4 that really made the most sense to share so here they are.

A couple weeks back we had the opportunity to have Waterloo native and emerging country artist Scotty James join us for a Mason Jar Session.  His first cut from that session is his soon to be released Still.  Love to hear what you think. 

I had a chance to sit down with Victoria Banks last year in the lobby of the hotel during the CMAO’s  and we had an amazing chat.  Then I lost the memory card that had 6 interviews on it and well,  I never got to publish that interview.  I can tell you she is one hell of an amazing singer / songwriter and was a pleasure to chat with.  

A couple weeks back we had a chance to have emerging artist JJ Shiplett sit down and do an interview & Mason Jar Session with us in Kitchener while on tour with Johnny Reid.  Here is JJ performing Higher Ground for our Mason Jar Sessions.  If you like what you hear be sure to head over and grab JJ’s EP over on iTunes.

So we thought it was time to introduce all the readers to the amazing people behind the Sound Check Team.   Over the last five years SCE has grown leaps and bounds and we just thought maybe you wanted to get to know the team a little more. We are going to be EVERYWHERE this summer so don’t be shy,  stop us at a show to say hi.

Monday night in Kitchener Johnny Reid brought the What Loves All About Tour to the Centre in The Square.  Getting a chance to see Johnny in the beautiful venue was a treat as I think the last time I was in the venue was to see the Tragically hip 4 years ago.  The 2,000 seat venue was packed for his second performance in as many nights in the city. 

Looks like this year’s end of the summer bash in Lucknow, Ontario is setting up to be one heck of a party.  And we are happy to be a part of it this year.  Over the last couple years we have reported on how great an event has been but this year we are partnering with Lucknow to bring you unprecedented coverage to one of the best parties in Ontario this summer.   So here is your 2016 Line Up….

Canadian Country Artists David James has a new single that was released to Radio last week and we thought the Lyric Video was pretty well done and the song is pretty catch.   Don’t be shy and request this one at your local radio stations.

So the frenzy of the What Loves All About Tour storms into Ontario this week with 13 shows over the next 18 days.   And with all the fantastic reviews from the West coast swing we know you won’t want to miss it.

Last month we had the chance to sit down with Jaren, Neil and Kelby of The Cadillac Three before they hit the stage at the SOLD OUT, Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.  The boys have since released the new single Graffiti to radio we love it love here at SCE.   Enjoy the interview.
