Saturday night, the third night of Lansdowne’s CityFolk Festival, brought a wide variety of acts sure to please lovers of all variations of folk music. Musicians and concert-goers young and old showed up to the festival, sharing an experience clearly capable of transcending generations.

It was Friday night in Ottawa and rock was set to invade Lebreton Flatts for Day 8 of RBC Bluesfest. Among the acts on the bill included 90s Alternative rockers Live as well as Canadian favourites The Glorious Sons and The Headstones.

It’s hard to believe we’re already coming to an end of the 2016 edition of RBC Bluesfest. It feels like just yesterday that the lineup was announced and yet here we are going into the final day!
Rain hits RBC Bluesfest but doesn’t dampen spirits on first weekend!
It wouldn’t be RBC Bluesfest, or any outdoor festival, if rain didn’t factor into the equation for at least a day or two of the event. But, to me anyway, that’s what makes it all the more special and memorable.
