Bobby Bazini Up Close and Personal at Centre in the Square, Kitchener
Juno nominated multi-platinum selling Montreal native singer/songwriter Bobby Bazini’s distinctive, soulful voice filled Kitchener’s ‘Centre in the Square’ theatre May 29. This was stop 14 of his cross-Canada 2019 tour following his Zermatt Unplugged Festival appearances in Switzerland in April.
Kudos to Centre in the Square for their ‘On Stage’ concept of making the venue intimate by turning the massive main theatre stage into a night club, complete with full-service bars stage left and right.

***Editor’s Note: On Friday night work got in the way of my being able to attend the Kingston stop for Dean Brody’s Beautiful Freakshow Tour. I asked our friend Abby Stewart if she would be willing to do a celebrity review of the show in my absence and she agreed. Although she missed the performance by James Barker Band here is her review of High Valley and headliner Dean Brody.***
Johnny Reid Woo’s in Kitchener…
Monday night in Kitchener Johnny Reid brought the What Loves All About Tour to the Centre in The Square. Getting a chance to see Johnny in the beautiful venue was a treat as I think the last time I was in the venue was to see the Tragically hip 4 years ago. The 2,000 seat venue was packed for his second performance in as many nights in the city.
