Wintersleep Wakes & Shakes Bronson Centre – Photoessay

Saturday night saw Halifax’s indie-rockers Wintersleep bring fans to the floor of the Bronson Centre. With their seventh full-length album In The Land Of due out in a matter of days, Ottawans were treated to a peek from this pressing, both live and with an early cache of copies at the merch table.

Gord Downie received multiple posthumous honours and standing ovation  First time nominees took home more than half the evening’s 36 awards  Special awards given to industry veterans Denise Donlon (Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award) and Gary Slaight (Humanitarian Award); rockstars Arcade Fire received International Achievement Award  Jim Cuddy presented with MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award
