Keith Urban pulled the Ripcord and landed safely in Toronto at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre Friday night. What a great show! Playing the first of a two night stand at the open air venue, and the third in the Live Nation Country Mega Ticket Series, Urban shows why he is amongst the most popular of the country scene with his polished stage performance and great music.

The gates have barely closed on the 2015 Boots and Hearts Music Festival and my thoughts are already turning to the big 5 Year Anniversary in 2016. With so many of Country’s biggest names already having graced the B&H Stages it’s a tough one. But here is my Top 20 list of acts for next year!
A Little Southern Style North of the Border with Darius Rucker & Friends
Darius Rucker brought some of country musics new pedigree to Toronto Saturday night with his Southern Style Tour hitting the Molson amphitheatre . With a line up this strong it was no surprise the place was rockin’ from start to finish.

To say that 2015 has started with a bang is a major understatement. It took the independent Sound Check over a year to hit 100,000 readers and we hit 200,000 in just the first month and a half of 2015.
Our top stories of Q1 2015 included breaking the news of Luke Bryan in Ottawa and the 2015 Ottawa Bluesfest line-up as well as our coast to coast coverage of Dallas Smith’s Tippin’ Point Tour and Chad Brownlee’s When the Lights Go Down tour not to mention our unprecedented concert coverage from New Country 94’s welcome to Ottawa party with Dallas Smith to Florida Georgia Line and ZZ Top in Kingston. We are going out on a limb and predicting that Darius Rucker will bring his Southern Style Tour to Boots and Hearts this August. Rucker’s fourth country solo album, ‘Southern Style,’ will be released on March 31, 2015. The disc’s first single, ‘Homegrown Honey,’ was released in September.
