Currently on tour with Halestorm, Beasto Blanco had Tuesday night off between Toronto and Montreal. So what do you do with a night off? You do what more bands should do and make a pit stop in Ottawa. Brass Monkey was the venue and for a Tuesday night did not disappoint.

If you’ve ever seen David Lee Roth, Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie, chances are you’ve seen John 5. Born John Lowery, and nicknamed by Manson, he is still currently a member of Zombie’s ensemble.
The Duke of Spook WEDNESDAY 13, will continue to support his highly successful Condolences release and embark on a North American tour this fall. Several dates will include performances with legendary guitarist JOHN 5 and shock-rocker DAVEY SUICIDE.

The Brass Monkey is deceiving. You could drive right by it without ever discovering it was there. Surrounded by coffee shops, grocery stores, and doctor’s offices, the unassuming strip mall doesn’t seem like a likely candidate for an industrial metal revival, but in fact that is exactly what it offered a motley crew of music lovers on Wednesday night when they brought Powerman 5000 to Ottawa.
