Our last, but far from least, feature on the 2016 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artists is Uxbridge, Ontario’s Robyn Ottolini. Robyn s a singer-songwriter hailing from Southern Ontario. As a kid, Robyn loved music. Listening to Diamond Rio and Faith Hill in her dad’s old pickup truck on the way to daycare, she was always singing. She started her journey in musical theatre, which later led to her picking up the guitar.
Introducing Ryan Langdon
As we get down to the last few finalists we introduce the first of only two cowboys in the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase this year, Niagara Falls’ Ryan Langdon.
River Town Saints – Cherry Bomb
Our friends the River Town Saints have a rockin’ new single on their hands called “Cherry Bomb” and today the video for that song is available on YouTube and it’s a MUST watch. These guys are so much fun and it really comes across in this video. The video stars 2016 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Kelsi Maine as the “Cherry Bomb”, naturally watch for numerous hilarious appearances by all of the RTS boys throughout the video (hint not just on stage)
Introducing Shylo Sharity
Our 4th of 7 features on 2016 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase finalists is Vancouver native Shylo Sharity. Shylo Sharity was raised in a suburb of Vancouver British Columbia and began her musical journey and first public performance at the age of 5.
Introducing Jess and Tay
Next up in our series featuring the 2016 Top 7 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase finalists are Toronto area duo Jess and Tay. Made up of 18-year-old Jessie Bower of Hamilton and Taylor Adams, 19, of Pickering Jess and Tay met while both were roommates and classmates at Humber College. Jess and Tay are pretty much as fresh as you get when it comes to Emerging Artists considering they almost didn’t enter the contest because they felt they didn’t have enough material ready. But they did enter and are currently sitting at the top of the vote count just ahead of Vanessa Marie Carter at the time of writing this.
Introducing Kelsi Mayne
Proud Windsor, ON native, Kelsi Mayne is a Canadian Country Music singer-songwriter, 2016 FACTOR grant recipient, and Top 7 Finalist in the upcoming Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. With an award-winning journalist as father and an acclaimed sculptor/muralist as a mother, Kelsi was constantly surrounded and influenced by a world of art. She developed her performing skills early on, competing on the Canada-U.S. Highland Dancing circuit. Soon she made moves to become a vocalist and began to achieve success in several talent competitions – once winning the opportunity to open for the Neverending White Lights when she was just 16 years old.
Introducing Vanessa Marie Carter
Every year Canada’s emerging artists are invited to submit their music to Boots and Hearts for a shot at a competition unlike any other. The top finalists for the Sirius XM, Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase vy for a grand prize that includes A Custom Website, A Week in Nashville (for media training, a professional photoshoot and a Gibson Guitar), A Single Release through Universal Music Canada and the opening slot in front of Chase Rice at the 2016 Boots and Hearts Country Music Festival.

Top 8 Finalists for 2015 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase
Republic Live, organizers of the Boots and Hearts Music Festival,has announced the Top 8 Finalists for the Emerging Artist Showcase presented by SiriusXM Canada. The final eight artists include Birds of Bellwoods, Eric Ethridge, James Barker Band, Johnson Crook, Leanne Pearson, Ray Gibson, Tenille Arts and Travis Wood. The finalists will be competing for a chance to perform on the Main Stage at Boots and Hearts prior to Thomas Rhett on Sunday, August 9th, in addition to winning a single release with Universal Music Canada and an opportunity to perform on the Main Stage at Boots and Hearts 2016. Fans are invited to vote for the Top 8 Finalists at www.bootsandhearts.com/showcase. Fan votes will determine the artists’ placement in the performance line up on the Front Porch Stage in front of a panel of judges at Boots and Hearts on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
