Once a year Jason Blaine gathers up a few of his closest friends in the country music industry, throws them on a bus and hauls them to Pembroke, Ontario for a couple of days of golf and music all in the name of charity. Everyone from Tim Hicks to Dean Brody has taken part in this amazing event which raises thousands of dollars for the community each year.

Finally we finished the night with George Canyon who put on an amazing set with his Big Ass Kitchen Party as he called it. George played to the crowd through out the show as he gave insight into his songs, particularly beaming with pride over his children and his country. George was extremely personal as he shared his East Coast roots and his role in the Canadian Army. George also showcased his Canadian pride as he covered Stompin’ Tom’s Good Old Hockey Game and spoke of the honour he had of covering the song for a 50th anniversary record.

The Country Music Association of Ontario wrapped up 4 days of exciting events on June 11th with their 2017 Awards Show.
The night kicked off with a performance by The Abram’s who always leave every ounce of energy they have on the stage. These two men are so incredibly talented and if you haven’t had a chance to see them live yet you are missing out! The Abram’s also took home this years award for Roots Artist of the Year.
