Ok so Ottawa is a few hours drive east of home for Jason Blaine but, as he put it, it’s as close as he was going to get to bringing his Three’s A Party tour to Pembroke, Ontario. Jason is currently touring Canada with Tebey and James Otto.

So the fine folks over at the storied Havelock Jamboree made a bit of a splash today with their 1st Artist Announcement for 2016 Edition of the Jambo.   Here is what we were told today…

It was all Dallas Smith at the 38th annual BCCMA Awards held last night at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam, B.C.. Dallas took home the award for all but one of the categories he was nominated for, and he wasn’t even present to accept them as he was celebrating Ottawa’s New Country 94’s first birthday in Ottawa.

So we have a few folks out in Halifax covering Country Music Week.  We have our first load of pictures to post.   Here is the first batch from the Kitchen Party on Friday Night.  It was a rockin’ night that people on the East Coast won’t soon forget! `

Here are some pictorial highlights of CCMA Awards – Day 1

This past weekend we had a chance to spend 2 days in the small town of Lucknow, Ontario.  For those of you not sure where this quaint little town is.   Lucknow is located just over an hour North-West of Kitchener/ Waterloo.  Before I get started we want to thank all the amazing volunteers who put this fantastic weekend together.  With over 600+ volunteers pulling together to make this my personal favourite of the busy summer season.  This was our 2nd year making the 1h 35min drive to take in some of Country’s biggest names.

Well, as we all know the summer is coming to a close and there aren’t many festivals left on the calendar.  However one of my favourite events of the year is a mere 3 days away.  Lucknow MITF kicks off its 7th year on Friday night with another fantastic weekend of country music lined up.
