The energy was flowing in the Rogers Centre around 7:30 Sam Hunt burst onto the stage for an already rowdy crowd. Hunt’s style is much different than a traditional country musician, as he combines his two favorite genres: country and R&B.
Hunts set flew by with his catchy & sing-a-long-songs including “Ex To See” and an emotional “Break up in a Small Town.” He performed his newly released single “Downtown is Dead,” and bringing the crowd to its feet with the stadium shaker “Body Like a Backroad.” Sam Hunt slowed down the show with a crowd-pleasing cover of “Goodbye Earl” by the Dixie Chicks before his final songs. His ball of energy persona was the perfect way to ramp up the crowd before Luke Bryan.
After opening sets by Superstar Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi & Morgan Wallen, Bryan was quick to make use of his large stage setup and make waves by opening up with past tour’s ‘Huntin’, Fishin’, and Lovin’ Every Day.’ Bryan continued powering through his hits, including ‘All My Friends Say,’ ‘Kick the Dust Up’ and ‘Most People are Good’ Closing out the show with fan favourites including ‘Play It Again, ‘Rain is a Good Thing’ and ‘Move.’ Luke Bryan had his fans begging for more, coming out for a double encore of ‘Country Girl’ and ‘That’s My Kind of Night.’
Overall Luke Bryan inspires a good time and performs with spot-on precision. Toronto was rocked by this star-studded, mini-country concert series at the Rogers Stadium.
