This past weekend, the city of Timmins, Ontario had yet another successful turnout for their biggest music festival of the summer!
Timmins Festival and Event Committee worked endlessly to deliver an epic weekend that local and surrounding area patrons could enjoy and create lasting memories.
Each night brought unique and diverse crowds of fans, bringing everyone together to enjoy some of their favourite artists.
Country to kick it off with night one! Fans were seen belting out the lyrics to hit songs by incredibly talented, Canadian artists in the industry.
Hailing from Cochrane, Ontario, Eric Girard and the Travellers got the crowd amped up with covers such as Eric Church’s “Desperate Man” along with his own originals like “655”, “Broken Wine Glass” and “Carry On.”
The crowd proudly sang along as Tim Hicks hit the stage next with his single, “Get By”. The energy was felt far and wide throughout the event during this electrifying set, that included “What a Song Should Do” and “One More”.
Dean Brody ended the evening with a powerful heart-felt performance. The emotions could be felt through witnessing strangers connect with one another while listening to the lyrics that hit home, for many, and ending his set with his top-chart hitting single “Bring Down The House” along with other great hits such as “Lightening Bug”, and “Can’t Help Myself.
Blast from the past with the 80’s roaring out of the gates for night two at this year’s Rock on the River. Decades of talent coming together to put on a show that no-one will forget.
Local talent, Ruuster got the party started by performing some classic rock covers.
Honeymoon Suite ramped up the evening performing some of their classic hits such as “Burning in Love” and ending it with an outstanding performance to their set with “New Girl Now”.
Lita Ford rocked hard with her band, keeping the crowd wanting more. Her stage performance goes unmatched, while her fans watched in awe to hits like “Relentless”. Owning the stage and keeping us on our toes right through to the end.
To finish off the evening on a high note, Bret Michaels brought out all the stops with his “Party Gras 2.0” tour. From performing “Talk Dirty to Me” to the popular “Every Rose Has It’s Thorns” Bret’s energetic stage presence had the crowd jumping, keeping the energy alive all the way through. Dee Snider and Steve Augeri joined the stage and had the fans singing the lyrics loud and proud to “We’re Not Going to Take It” and “Don’t Stop Believing”. A night for the books, is an understatement!
As if the first two nights weren’t already amazing enough, the final day brought all rockers alike to finish off just as strong as night one!
PUDDY kicked off the night sticking to their roots, performing hard-hitting, melt your face off tunes such as “What Do You Want” and their new single “Under Your Tongue”.
This was Danko Jones first time ever performing in Timmins and boy, he did not disappoint his long-time fans and those who were seeing/hearing of him for the first time. A jaw dropping performance to rev up the evening with some fan favourites like “On the First Date”.
The energy amplified as Buck Cherry “Lit” the stage right from the beginning, the fans sang to every song. From shredding guitar solos, to slowing it down, the fans wou belt the lyrics back to the stage – everyone was left ready and eager for the last act of the evening.
LIVE topped the night off with their extraordinary performance that left the fans smiling and singing along to top hits such as “Lightning Crashes” and “I Alone”, closing out another amazing year for this event!
