Ottawa Valley based Country Music performers Rainwater Whiskey raised the roof with their high energy show at the The Crazy Horse in Kanata, ON in back to back nights Feb. 2nd & 3rd. If you were on the dance floor you definitely had a workout. There’s definitely a case that says the break between sets isn’t for the band- its for those on the dance floor.
Rainwater Whiskey is no stranger to the stage having had opportunities to open shows for some of Country Music’s best there is today. Aaron Pritchett to Kira Isabella to the River Town Saints to the one and only Brett Kissel, these guys know the importance of surrounding themselves with the right people.
All that said it should come as no surprise they had the crowd on their feet stomping and dancing all night long. I’ve seen the dance floor filled with people before but for every song of each set – that speaks volumes of the following and connection these guys make with their fans.
They performed many covers with ease and even put a Rainwater Whiskey twist on a Johnny Cash song Ring of Fire which didn’t disappoint the crowd. The crowd had the pleasure of hearing them play original songs from their EP “The Long Time Comin” which was released in 2017. You can also hear their songs on Spotify and on iTunes at Rainwater Whiskey | iTunes .
The fun didn’t stop there. Rainwater Whiskey had a special guest appearance by the one and only Danny Sylvester, also an Ottawa Valley country singer/songwriter, on stage for the Friday night show. There is nothing like an evening of great music, food and friends to make a perfect night out. This talented country group is definitely a group to keep your eye on. If you haven’t been out to catch them live, put it on your bucket list for the near future.
