W.A.S.P. thundered into Columbus, Ohio on their 40th Anniversary Tour for a Sold Out show at The King Of Clubs on Wednesday night.
Blackie Lawless is the only original member of W.A.S.P., while bassist Mike Duda has been around since 1995, lead guitarist Doug Blair since 1995 (although he did tour with them in ’92 and 2001) and the newest member, drummer Aquiles Priester, joined up in 2017.
Fans of the 80’s heavy metal band packed out the venue to sing along to classics such as “L.O.V.E. Machine”, “The Idol” and “The Great Misconceptions Of Me.” They launched into their popular cover of The Who’s “The Real Me” during the encore, then ended with “I Wanna Be Somebody.”
Support for this tour is another L.A. band, Armored Saint who really impressed the crowd with their engaging stage presence throughout their 10 song set.
