Let’s thank Seven Devils Entertainment straight away for scoring the Ukrainian powerhouse Jinjer for a show at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio this past Friday. Their tour this year is selling out all across North America and this show was no exception! The line of metalheads waiting for the doors to open snaked around the building…at 5:30pm. This was definitely the show of the year at the Alrosa and everyone in line knew it!
Jinjer is, first and foremost, Tatiana Shmailyuk who has the most amazing vocal range – clean angelic, soft ballad to the harsh death growl from the pit of hell! And the rest of the metalcore crew: Roman Ibramkhalilov (guitars), Eugene Abdukhanov (bass), and Vladilav Ulasevish (drums). They absolutely killed it, set the place on fire, totally destroyed!
Joining Jinjer on this tour is the metal/electronica quartet from Kansas City The Browning who revved up the crowd for some serious headbanging!
Also on the tour is Sumo Cyco and woah, what a fantastic set! This hard rock band hails from Hamilton/Toronto, Canada and seriously got the crowd’s attention. Vocalist Skye Sweetnam wasted no time climbing into the crowd…where did she go? She’s up on the rail, now she’s at the bar, now she’s being carried back to the stage not missing a note!
Ladies and gentlemen may I present Sumo Cyco’s drummer Matt Trozzi. 100% on fire!
Local Support for the night: Liquid6teen with some serious bone-crushing metal mayhem!
And local METAL band A Scarred Existence opened the show!

Trina, did you get any pics of the Sumo cyco vocalist being carried back to the stage from the bar? (that was my son carrying her 🙂 )
That was so much fun! I will email you.
