San Antonio hard rock band Nothing More, supporting In This Moment on their current Tour, is known for their high intensity shows. They certainly proved that they are masters of the stage by really ramping up the crowd at Kemba Live! in Columbus, Ohio last night!
Frontman Jonny Hawkins hit all the emotions with his vocal delivery and his constant flailing across the stage, while simultaneously roaring into the mic. The rest of the crew – Mark Vollelunga (guitar, backing vocals), Daniel Oliver (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ben Anderson (drums) kept up the pace in the hour long 10 song set. The band opened with “Turn It Up Like” followed by “Let ‘Em Burn”, Don’t Stop”, “Tired of Winning”, “Jenny”, “Go To War”, “Do You Really Want It”,”You Don’t Know What Love Means” and “Fadein/Fadeout.”
On the last song “Ballast,” the band climbed down into the pit and got onto the front row barricade which brought on a loud approval from the crowd, horns up and all. Jonny grabbed a drum and placed it into the hands of some lucky front row attendees while he beat the hell out of it! Then he stood up on the barricade, arms outstretched to finish the song. Then BOOM the lights went out and it was over. What? They could have played another hour as far as the crowd was concerned.
Great show as always from Nothing More! Be sure to catch them live at one of the dates below.
