The Nordstock Music Festival recently announced the addition of five bands to its line-up, now featuring 15 performing acts, for the festival weekend August 9-10-11, 2019 at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa.
The headliner for Saturday August 10th will be Ten Years After who performed at the original Woodstock in 1969. The other acts just added are:
- Joan Baez Tribute by Josée Brault
- Down N’ Dirty: A Tribute to Johnny Winter
- Country Joe and the Fish Tribute by Rock Snake
- Canned Heat Tribute by BONE
John Fenton, Director of Talent Acquisition, said, “We have been beavering away behind the scenes, assembling this line-up, and it just keeps getting better. We have selected fabulous artists who provide the passion, talent and energy to recreate and celebrate ‘Going back in time – to ‘69’.”

The Music Bracket Challenge
Today Nordstock also launched the Music Bracket Challenge. Think Stanley Cup playoffs but with music. Although we don’t have all the details yet organizers have assured us that this contest will not only be fun, engaging & awesome it will have a huge grand prize. All we can say is stay tuned as we’ll have full details once they are available!

This unique festival celebrates the many famous bands and creative artists of the Woodstock festival, on the 50th Anniversary of that iconic event. The dates are August 9-10-11, 2019.
