Meghan took over and completely owned the Nashville North at the 2018 Calgary Stampede!
There was so much energy and engagement with the crowd that the excitement continued to build throughout the entire set. Security was constantly running into the crowd to get people OFF shoulders, stopping the piggy backs, and 1 attempted crowd surfer! By the end of it, several people had sweat running down their faces.
Meghan wore people’s hats, signed them, poured whiskey shots into cowboy hats – had a few of her own (minus the hat!). She poured shots into a few people to the side of the pit … and even one who sprawled out on the counter she was walking across!
She walked across the counter of the bar along the stage, jumped into the crowd, kept singing as she walked though everyone to get to the bar near the entrance, jumped onto THAT bar as well, kept singing, and finally made her way back to the stage. The video crew was tethered and stuck in the photo pit and wasn’t able to capture her roaming antics for everyone to see. Even the camera that was in Front of House (soundboard) on an elevated platform in the middle of the venue wasn’t able to fully follow along.
… and of course she stepped up onto the drum riser a few times and jumped off that too!
She took several photos of & selfies with the crowd using her own phone…
Through ALL of that, there was a lot of music played TOO … some new music, some older songs, and even a Dolly Parton cover of Jolene, that, of course, she had the crowd help her out for the chorus.
At the end of the set, while the crew was tearing down the stage, she jumped into the photo pit and took time to talk to, hug, and take pictures with everyone who asked.
