In 1998 a new festival made it’s debut at Explorer’s Point in Mattawa where the three rivers meet. The inaugural Mattawa Voyageur Days Festival featured a lineup made up of Wild Ones (Youth), Headpins, Toronto, Trooper and Barney (Children’s). This summer fans can relive the summer of 1998 as organizers roll back the clock 20 years and present a “Classic Rewind”.

“It’s hard to believe that MATTAWA VOYAGEUR DAYS will be celebrating 20 YEARS hosting this fantastic and fun filled festival July 28-30, 2017” says Jacques Begin Chair Mattawa Voyageur Days.

“We really never had any time-line set or how this would progress. We just knew that we wanted to offer a fun event for everyone to come and enjoy Mattawa and what our community has to offer”.

In 20 years the festival has gone from an idea to successfully putting the small town of Mattawa, Ontario on the map for visitors and music industry professionals alike. It has boasted one of the strongest music
lineups of any festival anywhere in its days. So how do you celebrate 20 years?

“We have had a number of discussions on the line-up…and what better way to recognize 20 years than to do
what we do best…a Classic Rewind and see if we can re-do what we did year 1…and that’s what we did!!!.”
