Canadian country music singer and songwriter Leah Daniels made a stop at Lone Star Texas Grill on St. Laurent Sunday night to celebrate the release of her new album ‘The Story’.

Presented by Country 101.1, this was a perfect showcase of Daniels. She has a natural beautiful singing voice that doesn’t sound over-worked but instead comes across with confidence and strength. She sounds as good live as she does on record. The result is a very passionate vocal sound allowing the listener to hear and feel the emotions she’s trying to convey. With strong songs, an enthusiastic crowd and an intimate venue at Lone Star on St. Laurent the star of evening Leah Daniels brought her all and kept the crowd tuned in to the end.

This small town girl from Uxbridge Ontario is no stranger to the music scene attracting fans wherever she goes including drawing 4 CCMA nominations for Interactive Artist of the Year and winning the CRMA (Canadian Radio Music Award) as the 2016 FACTOR Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award.Listening through her latest album The Story revealed to me a hugely talented singer with a depth and variety that isn’t found easily. Her songs are very powerful pieces of music especially when sung live. You need to experience it first hand. Daniels is a dynamic singer/songwriter who fuses country rock and pop together in a very nice blend.

Covering many of her originals, Daniels also made an attempt at covering the Alanis Morissette song “You Oughta Know” which she absolutely nailed. The crowd was right into this one from start to finish. Alanis would be proud. Throughout the night there was one fan who Daniels was thankful to have in attendance whom she delivered a t-shirt in the middle of a song and then they sung the remainder together. This is about as down to earth and real as an artist can be.

This was an all around victorious night for everyone. The crowd was completely into the show singing and dancing and the music and performance were impeccable and pure. I’d recommend you grab the new CD The Story and get out and catch Daniels show when she’s in your area. You better get ready because this girl is for real and it doesn’t appear anything is going to stop her.
