On Thursday October 24th Lainey Wilson brought her Country’s Cool Again tour to London to the newly renamed Canada Life Place formerly known as Budweiser Gardens and she brought along Ian Munsick and Zach Top to open for her.

Zach Top was up first and kicked off his set with his biggest song to date “Sounds Like The Radio” which had the crowd rushing from the merch stands to get to their seats to see this fast rising up and coming. He followed up with playing “Beer For Breakfast” and asked the crowd if anyone had a beer when the wokeup and after the screams stopped he jokingly said I was told you Canadians were a bunch of alcoholics. Zach then wrapped up his short 25 minute set with “I Never Lie” and “Cold Beer & Country Music” and from everyone I talked to during the night it was a consensus that everyone wished Zach Top would’ve had more time to play and would’ve liked him to be 2nd on the lineup card, hopefully Zach will be back up to Canada in 2025 and get more time to play next visit.

Then it was Ian Munsick who took to the stage opening up with “Barn Burner” and “I See Country” it seemed like most of the people in attendance weren’t very familiar with his material but his stage presence and story telling in between songs seemed to win over most in attendance. Ian closed his set with “Long Live Cowgirls” and “Mountain Time” and then it was time for everyone to rush to the washroom or grab a beer in the 30 minute changeover break before Lainey Wilson took the stage.

The volume of the house music raised and fans knew that Lainey was only moments away from taking the stage there was a pickup truck dead center in the middle of the stage and the lights went down for a few moments and then Lainey Wilson appeared standing on the roof of the truck singing “Hang Tight Honey” she climbed down off the truck and made her way up the catwalk and out towards the soldout crowd she played “Smells Like Smoke” and then brought out Ian Munsick to help her sing “Good Horses” Lainey then went on to play one of the first songs I ever heard on the radio by her which was “Thing A Man Oughta Know” and then “Heart Like A Truck.” A little over halfway through her set Lainey played “Atta Girl” and in the middle of the song brought up on stage a young girl and gave her one of her signature flat brimmed hats she wears and made her Cowgirl of the night. Then played “Watermelon Moonshine” and them “Keep up With Jones” which she asked Zach Top to come out and sing with her she ended her set with “Country’s Cool Again” and then waved to fans as she left the stage. After a few minutes of the crowd chanting for Lainey to return to the stage she returned to the stage by herself and put the tailgate down on the pickup truck and sat there with just her guitar and played some of her highly popular collaborations she’s done with other artists. She started with her song with Cole Swindell “Never Say Never” then went on to sing “Wait In The Truck” which was a very popular song with Hardy and then closed out the acoustic part with her song with Jellyroll “Save Me” and had the crowd sing a whole verse before her band returned to the stage to finish the song up and then went on to play Lainey’s current single at Country radio “4×4×U” which she told the crowd before she started the song that it was wrote about her boyfriend Duck Hodges. Her final song was “Wild Flowers and Wild Horses” which turned into a big singalong with the soldout crowd and a great way to end a fun Thursday night
