Lucknow Music in the Fields lit up the local soccer fields as Country Music’s faithful come to celebrate and say goodbye to the summer of 2016.
Friday nights line up brought you the always fabulous Lovelocks, Tebey and Dean Brody on the main stage along with Sacha on the side stage that had a fantasic crowd throughout the night. The Lovelocks kicked off the party on the main stage with what could be my favorite set I have seen them perform. The tune that stood out last night was their current sings and cover of Time After Time. They have just released it to radio and it is so darn good. It’s no secret that SCE are fans of the Lovelocks and after last night’s performance our love grew that much more. Don’t miss our interview with Ali & Zoe from backstage HERE.
Just after the Lovelocks wrapped up on themain stage Sacha took over on the Seploy Emerging Artist stage. Not having seen Sacha live yet it was great to catch her brief but impactful set. And we hope to see more of her in 2017 that’s for sure.
Next up on the MainStage was Tebey we had recently caught Tebey set at another festival a couple weeks back later but boy did it seem like he up’ed the game last night. With a very solid 60 min set. Playing all the hits along with some new ones. Bring a great light show and some cool glow in the dark beach balls Tebey had the crowd of about 7000 strong rockin’. Easily my favourite song of the set is his upcoming single Old School which just so happens to be the title of his current EP Old School. Having watched Tebey over the last couple years and witnessing the growth of an artists is pretty incredible. His live show has expanded and become one of those sets you don’t want to miss at a show. Some BIG news coming down the draft pipes about some shows in Ontario so keep your eyes opened for those dates. Check out our chat with Tebey from back stage HERE.
Following Tebey on the main stage was Mr. Dean Brody. Dean has been busy this summer and talking with a few of his band members (Jason Berry & Shane Guse) they were super excited to be playing Lucknow. With a grocery list of hit songs its no surprise when Dean takes the stage and the crowd sings along to 90% of his set. With songs like Bounty, Bring Down The House and Canadian Girls being staples in his set it was his new single Bush Party sounded fantastic. Dean has been doing this awhile and really knows how to keep the crowd engaged. A perfect set for a great night in the fields. One down (2 really) and 1 to go. Today the fields will be filled with music from Buck Twenty, Kristen Hawley, Jojo Mason, Madeline Merlo, Jason Blaine, Frankie Ballard & Lee Brice. If you don’t have tickets there are a few left for tonight and it’s gonna be one heck of a party!
